size 3, which is not very far from flowering for this species.    The world-wide known orchid grower from Brazil Cesar Wenzel made this cross.  Normally the petals and sepals are green with brown spots and a wide purple lip.   In this crossing he paired an aclandiae that is almost all brown with a standard color one that has sensational flower form.
