We are finally enjoying the benefits of our great new growing environment in Bolinas, California a few blocks from the Pacific Ocean.  We are currently navigating the Cattleya labiata blooming season.  In Brazil that species blooms in March, but October has always been its time to bloom in Northern California.  However, somehow they are blooming a bit later this year.  It is already November and there are many plants still developing their blooms.  Meanwhile the Cattleya trianae are starting to bloom already.  Usually the trianae blooms closer to the holiday season and the New Year.  All and all, we are thrilled with how our plants are now developing.  We are taking an enormous amount of seedlings from flask lately, which assures you that our next generation of the best Cattleya species is well on its way.
